You’re not alone on this path.

I don’t know what brought you here today—maybe it’s worry, maybe it’s weariness. Maybe you’re just trying to catch your breath between doctor’s appointments and nighttime phone calls.

What I do know? You don’t have to carry this alone.

Daughters of Naomi is a place for women like us—daughters walking with aging parents through some of life’s hardest transitions. We offer encouragement rooted in faith, tools to help you feel a little less lost, and a quiet community when your heart needs steadying.

I’m not the caregiving type myself, but I do love solving problems and connecting people to the help they need. So take a look around. You likely wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have a need—or know someone who does.

How do I know that? Because I’ve been there. Back when I was going through it, the internet mostly meant cryptic emails over a squealing phone modem (remember those?). But now we’re so much more connected, and I’m glad you found your way here.

If something here helps you, I hope you’ll find a way to give back just a little more than you received. My dad grilled that into me, and it’s never steered me wrong. The older I get, the more I find myself passing that along.

If you’re here, there’s a reason. And there’s room for you at the table. I hope you’ll make yourself at home.

Faith and Fellowship in Caregiving

At Daughters of Naomi, we believe faith is a lifeline—and fellowship is a gift. Whether you’re holding your mom’s hand in the hospital or helping Dad sort through old bills, this road is hard… and holy.

Here, you’ll find real-life wisdom, gentle tools, and a faith-filled community of women walking the same path. We’re not experts. We’re daughters—leaning on the Lord and learning from each other.

Speaking of faith, I want to be clear: I’m a Bible-believing Christian. I believe my salvation comes through Jesus Christ—through the finished work He accomplished on the cross, where He suffered and died to pay the debt for my sin. It was grace, not anything I earned. Everything I do, I do to bring glory to God. This website is part of that.

My faith teaches me truths from Scripture that I hold dear. So yes, this is a Christian-based space. But it’s grounded in what theologians call common grace—the kindness and mercy God pours out on all people. That’s the spirit in which Daughters of Naomi operates. This isn’t church. I’m not here to preach. I’m just here to walk with you—and love you all the same.

I say all this because these days, it can feel risky to name what you believe. And it can be risky to be around people who DON’T tell you what they believe. But I believe truth matters. And for me, the truth I live by centers on Jesus Christ. I know others think differently, and I respect that. I can’t prove Christianity is true. That’s why it’s called faith. And it humbles me every day.

So now that we’ve got that out in the open… don’t be a stranger!

If you’ve got needs, you’ve got burdens. And if you’ve got burdens, you could use a hand. That’s why I’m here.

Now let’s have a cup of tea. ☕💜

Why We’re Here

At some point, every daughter becomes the grown-up in the room.

Maybe it started slowly—running errands for Mom, helping Dad with passwords. Or maybe it came all at once—a diagnosis, a fall, a long night in the ER.

However it began, here you are. And if you’re anything like I was, you weren’t quite ready for it.

That’s why Daughters of Naomi exists.

We’re here to offer steady, faith-rooted encouragement for women who are quietly carrying a lot. Not clinical advice. Not one-size-fits-all answers. Just gentle help for the everyday decisions, the hard conversations, and the weary moments that come when you’re caring for aging parents—or simply figuring out how to.

You’ll find:

  • Stories from the road (mine and others’)
  • Tools to help you stay organized and sane
  • Wisdom drawn from Scripture and real life
  • And space to breathe, pray, and be reminded that you’re not alone.

We’re here because you are here. And because this is sacred work—even when it’s messy, exhausting, and unseen.

And I’ve learned it’s never really… unseen. And it never… doesn’t matter.

Others are Excited!

I’ve known Becky for twenty years and served alongside her in many situations. I’m so excited about this platform she’s creating and her book, which will help thousands of women who bear the brunt of taking care of aging parents.

Alicia C.

Friend and Associate

I’ve known Becky for over a decade, ever since our now-married children started dating. Over the years, I’ve come to know her well and have benefited from her wise counsel on everything from practical business decisions to how best to support our adult children as they raise our grandchild. This will be a solid organization, and I was the first to sign up to buy the first book from the publisher. Way to go, Becky!

Rev. Cindy C.

Mother-in-law to Becky’s daughter

I’m super excited to see Becky on this quest to support those caring for aging parents. I work in nursing and see every day just how much people need a sense of community. Many people I meet are looking for answers, but their friends often struggle to understand what they’re going through. Becky’s heart for others and her gift for problem-solving give me real hope that this venture will bring encouragement and direction to thousands across Houston.
